Owner's Guide to the Audi Allroad Quattro
The Audi Allroad Quattro offered for the 2001 through 2005 model years was a wagon-based version of the brand's Audi A6 sedan. The all-wheel drive car featured a twin-turbo V6 engine that paired to either six-speed manual or five-speed Tiptronic automatic transmissions.
Audi Allroad Quattro Features
The car came with such amenities as remote keyless entry, anti-lock brakes, 17-inch aluminum wheels, front and rear fog lights, heated side mirrors, AM/FM stereo, and dual-zone automatic climate control.
Audi Allroad Quattro Problems
Audi has issued three recalls that may affect your wagon, though. Those were for
- A fuel leak that could cause a fire if near a source of ignition
- A short circuit in the halogen low beam headlights that could lead to either overheating or a fire
- An electrical short circuit caused when the driver's knee pushes against the knee bolster under the dash and possibly contacting the headlight switch wiring harness
You can confirm that these recalls have been dealt with by entering your VIN on the NHTSA website. It'll either note that there are no outstanding recalls, or tell you which need to be addressed ASAP.
