Rainwater, road debris, insects -- all this and more can make it a lot harder to see the road during a drive. Your Audi vehicle's first line of defense? Learn all you need to know to make an educated buying decision, right here at our auto parts store.
All About Audi Windshield Wiper Blades
What Kinds There are
Three: conventional, beam, and hybrid. The conventional type is designed for everyday driving. They're made of either rubber or silicone, most of the time, and they attach to a metal frame. You replace them every six months or so.
The beam type last longer than conventional ones. They're often made of solid rubber, designed such that it closely conforms to a windshield's contours. The hybrid type work like beam, except that they have rubber-coated metal frames. This makes them more versatile, not to mention more resistant to the effects of weather.
Any of them can have one of a few different kinds of connectors, too -- usually hook, clamp, or pin. Unfortunately, none of them last forever. You'll have to change your front and rear wiper blades alike eventually. Luckily, a few symptoms will warn you it's time.
The Signs it's Time to Replace Them
Look for everything from cracks in the rubber and streaking, squeaking, or chattering noises during use to broken frames and failing blade adhesive. If you need a new set, you're in luck. We've got them, and you can order them online, right here.
