When Do I Need to Replace My Audi Lights?
That all depends on the type of lighting. Halogen bulbs tend to burn out after approximately two years of use. Xenon high-intensity-discharge (HID), which are much brighter than halogen lights, usually last three years before starting to fade. LED, which are more commonly found on luxury models such as yours, can last for years and years before their electronic components begin to fail.
How Much Does It Cost to Replace My Audi Lights?
That also depends on the type of lights your vehicle uses, along with who's doing the work. We'll use headlights as an example. Halogen are least expensive, and start at around $40 per pair. This is the type most folks can replace themselves, as long as they follow proper procedures. HID are significantly harder for the layperson to install, and cost an average of $400-per-pair. Finally, LED are costliest, and may even require replacing the entire headlight assembly. Since just the headlight itself can cost well over $1,000-per-pair, you'll definitely want to consider speaking to an Audi service technician whenever that replacement time arrives.
You may have noticed that we've quoted prices as "per pair." There's a good reason for that. Even if only one light has burned out, replacing both at the same time helps to provide the best lighting performance on both sides of your vehicle. Another thing to note is that the prices we've quoted are retail, and don't represent any discounts we may offer.
